About Us
Surrendering all things to Divine Providence
Alexander and Danielle Mishork are Catholics living in Weatherford, Texas. Since their marriage began, on April 22, 2022, they have tragically lost three children--two boys and a girl--to late term fetal demise. Childloss has purified Alex and Dani's commitment to their core values of Love, Wisdom, and Presence. They see each child as a gift from God, and their passing as an opportunity to live out their family motto: "The Surrender All Things to Divine Providence."
Why the dice?
Our favorite gosepl story is Jesus speaking to the Samaritan woman at the well. Specifically, we love how Jesus masterfully shifts the conversation from a shared thirst for a cold cup of water, to revealing the transcendental truth of His identity as the Logos Incarnate.
After defining our family's core values early in our marriage, we wanted not only to allow others to interact with them in a tangible way, but also to provide an easy way to connect their experiences to our values. After several crazy and complicated prototypes, we simplified it down to a six-sided value die. We added the context die to make formulating deep questions easy and concrete.
We like to think of the dice as a reverse engineered version of Christ's conversation with the Samaritan woman. Instead of gradually moving from small talk to deep talk, the value die reverses everything; plunging you immediately into the waters of deep conversation. The context die keeps things light and connected to familiar things. The fun and structured format of the game disarms everyone, and ensures that--if things get too deep too fast--there is a list of rules and an escape hatch.
Our Dream
To equip Catholics to turn their homes into universities of values. What does that mean? It means providing practical tools and resources that help Catholics create the near occaision of connection, leisure, and community in their homes--tethering everything to their values. Rolling the conversation dice after dinner is just the first of many tools, resources, and programs that we will release to achieve our dream. Like Sinatra once said: the best is yet to come.
